Virgin Atlantic Resumes Flights to Mumbai

After three years of solitude, the transatlantic carrier – Virgin Atlantic resumes flights to Mumbai India. The airline brought services to a standstill due to low demand and harsh global economy. However, Virgin Atlantic highlights an increase of travellers between London and Mumbai thus making it among the top 20 long haul routes in Heathrow.

Operations will be starting 28 October 2012 from London to Mumbai. Virgin Atlantic will be incorporating an Airbus A 330 with three class configuration seatings for passengers. Upper Class comprise of 33 seats, Premium Economy with 48 seats and Economy with 185 seats.

Currently, Virgin Atlantic operates form Heathrow to Delhi. The airline announced to state it is successful launch from London to Mumbai thus linking other major cities including New York, Boston and Washington.

Other airlines that currently operate daily are British Airways, Air India and Jet Airways.
