Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier of Singapore operating from the global hub at Changi International Airport. The airline also operates two of the world’s longest non-stop commercial flights to Newark and Los Angeles. Singapore Airline was the first airline to launch the world’s largest passenger aircraft – Airbus A380. Economy Class
  • Meals on Singapore Airlines are created by a renowned international culinary panel. They are a treat for the senses, and are accompanied by wines and other beverages. The meals are inspired by the region the aircraft is flying to while Asian and international meals are also available. On longer flights, you can also enjoy snacks. Desserts are great fun on Singapore Airlines, from sweet to ice cream. On the A380, the largest passenger aircraft and the world’s first double decker aircraft, you get more seats, more leg space, more comfort, and you have ergonomically designed seats. Business Class
  • Business Class on Singapore Airlines is divided into New Business Class, Long Haul Business Class, and the Business Class on A340-500. The cabin on long haul flights is host to the most spacious seats on this class in any airline in the world. Business Class is refurbished and redesigned to ensure passenger comforts. The seats are extremely comfortable, with lumbar support on the upholstered premium leather seats, and the meals are a delight to partake of. Enjoy a great dining experience as if in a five star restaurant, with the spacious seats, the tables, and the delights the cabin crew set in front of you. From steak to salmon, with their accompanying sauces, the meals show great attention to detail, and are prepared with great care. Plenty snacks are provided, while fruits are provided on long-haul flights. In Business Class, you have the option of booking the cook, where you can make your selections from a premium selection of dishes pre-departure. There are over 60 dishes available to choose from.

First Class
  • Fly with Singapore Airlines to experience the super luxurious Singapore Airiness Suites (only available in Airbus A380). The suites are a private setting all for yourself with sliding doors and window blinds, and has much space. It even has a bed, and not convertible seats. Fly First Class to enjoy the furnished leather and mahogany recline seating, flat beds and generous leg space. You can have your meals when you like to and can even book the cook when your meal 24 hours before departure. Enjoy the famous Satay which is grilled to perfection or choose from the varied snacks on offer any time you like. Champagne, wines, spirits, liquors, beers and choice beverages that have been carefully chosen from around the world accompany the meals. These are hand-picked by the wine experts of the airline and include Dom Perignon and Krüg Champagnes. The meals even offer Indian varieties, with Shahi Thali. It comes in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions and is inspired by both North and South Indian cuisine.

In-flights
  • The KrisWorld, the in-flight entertainment system of Singapore Airlines, features a selection of movies, cartoons, music and interactive games. The widescreen LCDs, amazing entertainment options and built-in office software are some of the best that Singapore Airlines offers. Visit the airline’s website to check out the movies for each month, which are drawn from the most popular as well as from regional movies from Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, China and from India. There are over 80 movies to choose from, ranging from classics to comedy to animation. Additionally, you can watch television programmes, from national geographic programmes to Korean drama to the Summer Olympics 2012 in London. Choose from business, travel, comedy, documentary, music and art, to lifestyle, drama, and sports. The Suites, First Class and Business Class cabins are supplied with active noise cancelling headphones and handsets with a LCD screen and qwerty keyboard on the back while the Economy Class is supplied with Dolby headphones and a handset with LED channel display and qwerty keyboard on the back.

Routes
  • The airline flies to 63 destinations in 35 countries, in Asia, Europe, North America, the Middle East, the South West Pacific, and Africa. The airline offers the most number of international connections in the South East Asian region, compared to other airlines of the region. The airline flies to Toronto with a new agreement, and also flies to Colombo, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, and Dhaka in South Asian, In the South East Asian region, the airline covers Fukuoka, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Istanbul, and Jakarta. Adelaide, Barcelona, Beijing, Brisbane, Cairo, Cape Town, Copenhagen, and Jeddah are some of the other places it flies to. The coast of Australia is well covered with flights to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Darwin. In Africa, it flies to Cape Town and Johannesburg as well as Addis Ababa. Additionally, the airline has code share agreements with over 20 airlines including Malaysian Airlines, South African Airways, Lufthansa, US Airways, Air New Zealand and Air Canada, thus opening up more possible destinations for its customers.
