The Qatar National Convention Center celebrated its first anniversary by attending the United Nations Conference on Climate Change.
The center opened in December 2011, hosting the 20th World Petroleum Congress. Thereafter, the convention center was one of the most prestigious and internationally acclaimed to host a range of national and international events.
The chairman, Saad Al Muhanadi, recalls the most prominent events of 2011. The QNCC has hosted 212 events, welcoming more than 155,000 delegates and visitors. At World Travel Awards 2012, the QNCC was awarded as Middle East’s leading Exhibition & Convention Center.
Some of the future events in confirmation and prominence for the year 2013 include Offshore Middle East, Qatar Career Fair and High Level Forum on Global Geospatial Information Management.
