Soroa Waterfalls, Pinar del Rio.
Many people travel directly past these stunning falls on the way to Vinales from Havana. If you’re in a car, it’s worth the brief stop to take a swim in the pools underneath the waterfalls. It’s a brilliant location for pictures as well.
Cuba Libro, Havana.
Self-governing bookshops are scarce in Havana, but Cuba Libro is the ideal one around. Part store, part café, this attractive expanse also works as a loaning library for natives, who utilize the global books to run-through their dialect abilities.
Manaca Iznaga tower.
The biggest observation tower in the Cuban sugar district was constructed during 1750 to look above the slaves that ran the land. Currently, you could ascend the seven-leveled construction for great sights above the Valle de Los Ingenios, 18 kilometers (11 miles) from the colonial metropolis of Trinidad.
Café Literario, Vedado.
This appealing site in Vedado is a brilliant location to encounter welcoming Cubans in a tranquil ambiance. A few people visit this spot to write, but many just come to chill out. Everyone has a great time.
Maria La Gorda, Pinar del Rio.
On the western end of the island rests this extremely immaculate beach, a favorite with divers who know their stuff. It’s silent and serene, with a few of the top diving and snorkeling in entire Cuba.
Bacanao Park.
Around 20 kilometers (12 miles) from Santiago de Cuba rests this fascinating park, which is a type of memorial to the Cuban past and lifestyle. There are large dinosaurs, a restoration of a native Taino village and an inlet. It’s a little strange, but interesting at the same time.
Parque El Nicho.
Take a break on the road amid Trinidad and Cienfuegos to tour this forest park. Parque El Nicho holds plenty of waterfalls that are brilliant for swimming, and the plant life is astonishing. The largest waterfall is a 25-minute trek away from the entry to the park, but it’s worth each stride.
Fusterlandia, Havana.
On the western borders of Havana lies the district of Fusterlandia. Cuban painter Jose Fuster took over the roads of the region and transformed them into an outdoor art museum, with mosaic tiles layering the walls, and surreal figures. It’s a brilliant location to pass an hour or so and escape the center of Havana.
SS San Pasqual Shipwreck.
This earlier oil tanker was launched in 1920 and has had a lengthy and diverse life since. During 1933 the ship went under off Cayo Las Brujas on the north shore of Cuba with a load of syrup. The ship has been utilized as a diving pedestal and a resort but is now deserted.
