Frequently Asked Questions

how can we help you?

Variety is no joke, it certainly helps travellers get the best out of a trip on their own terms, and here, at Travel Center, we feature one of the most extensive ranges of options in the price for you to book with, giving you the edge over an expensive destination like the Maldives. Plus, we also happen to have tours of all sort, tailor-made deals, hotels and airlines you could choose from, allowing your holiday to be just the way you like it from A-Z.

Romance, luxury, water sports, majestic beaches, great food and one of a kind attractions ideally cover what the majority of the country has in store for you and what it is usually praised for by travellers from across the world.

Well, typically, it is praised for being an all-around romantic destination, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a family-friendly trip to the country. Many families visit the Maldives seeking the perfect blend of weather, awe-inspiring beaches and oceanfront resorts. So, no. The country is definitely not only for couples.

Getting around Maldives is easy for the most part. From speed boats (for obvious reasons), buses and cars to air travel, transport in the country is either expensive and extremely worth the money or wallet-friendly but dreadfully slow. So, choose carefully, even with the limited number of options you have.

The experiences you garner in the country are well worth the price tag that comes along with it. But, yes. The Maldives is indeed one of the more luxurious destinations that you could visit. But you don’t need to be a millionaire to enjoy this trip. Well, that is, as long as you book with the right travel agency…you get my drift?

Yes, the Maldives is a Muslim nation, meaning that dressing conservatively is much appreciated and shows that you respect the culture and traditions of the country. Locals are also much more likely to be all smiles and not stares this way, which is good because there’s no one better to ask help from than a local who knows the ins and outs of the country.

It’s almost hard to go by without seeing an ATM in Malé or the airport. However, the same scenario does not apply to the rest of the country. Resorts usually accept cards, but if you want to get souvenirs from street-lined stores and merchants, you’ll have to use cash.

The Maldives offer the most ideal weather from November to February. March to April is also a great time to visit, especially for surfers. Whereas May to October brings the wet season.

Almost every resort in the country has an array of delectable vegetarian food on their menu, so yes, you will get to enjoy the food at your resort. One of the more notable resorts of the country known as Atmosphere Kanifushi, has a standalone, dedicated special restaurant called “Just Veg” for vegetarian guests. Now, even if you do not see this in every other resort, you’re bound to have options. So, don’t worry!
