There was a big surprise for cargo handlers from Qantas Airways. A loose crocodile was among the luggage. The reptile has managed to break out from the cage during the two-hour flights from Brisbane to Melbourne.
The crocodile was being transported as freight y cargo firm Australia Air Express. The cargo company is currently investigating how the animal escaped and whether the freight was appropriately loaded.
The crocodiled owner John Lever of Koorana Crocodile Farm explained in detail that the crocodile must be places inside a scotch cylinder with holes for ventilation. The locks and the door of the container must be secure and strong enough to prevent any possibilities of escaping.
