Alitalia to Launch Rome-Abu Dhabi Flights

The flagship carrier of Italy, Alitalia and Abu Dhabi based airline, Etihad Airways expanded the codeshare agreement to the newest route ‘Rome to Abu Dhabi’. The new routes offer passengers best connections and travel options to a variety of destinations.

Flights will commence operations since 1 December 2012. The airlines will operate four weekly flights using Airbus A 330.

Alitalia will place ‘AZ’ code on Etihad Airways flights from Abu Dhabi to Bahrain, Muscat, Johannesburg, Bangkok, Melbourne and Sydney. Etihad Airways will place ‘EY’ code on the new Rome flights offering travel access to Rome, Venice and Zurich.
