Alitalia Airlines

Alitalia is Italy’s biggest airline and is also the world’s 19th largest airline. Alitalia is headquartered in the coastal city of Fiumicino. Economy Class
  • Classica Plus and Classica are the Economy options on Alitalia. Premium Economy, known as Classica Plus brings you warm hand towels, soft drinks, wines selected from some of Italy’s finest wine makers and warm beverages. You will also be given warm meals, and snacks or breakfast, depending on the time and schedule of the flight. Also included is a welcome drink, to help you settle in. Classica Plus offers baggage allowance of two items weighing 23 kg, dedicated check-in desks, priority boarding and a separate quiet cabin section. This cabin has 21 (or 24) ergonomic seats reclining up to 120° which offer up to 40% more leg room. The airline provides a night kit and travel amenity kits to passengers. In Classica you can make external calls as well as internal calls to someone sitting away from you. In both the economy classes, you can choose between two menus or pasta or meat (selection changes according to destination). The airline provides you with warm meals, welcome drinks and warm towels.

Business Class
  • Alitalia’s Business Class is divided into two detail-oriented classes, Magnifica – Business and Ottima– Business. In Magnifica, passengers are treated to baggage allowance of two items weighing up to 32 kg, leather seats reclining up to 180°, which have a fully horizontal bed position and a massage function. The cabin emphasizes on relaxation, and has a lighting system that takes on the conditions of the location and time of the aircraft. You have access to the Alitalia and SkyTeam lounges and dedicated check-in desks when you are a Magnifica passenger. You will also receive a Frette night kit, Richard Ginori chinaware, silverware and glassware, and the Bulgari amenity kit by virtue of flying Magnifica on Alitalia, some of the biggest names in Italy. In Optima too you have access to the Alitalia and SkyTeam lounges and dedicated check-in desks and baggage allowance of two items weighing up to 32 kg. The ergonomic leather Recaro seats that are placed four per row are super comfortable and allow easy access to the aisle.

 In-flights
  • Each seat is equipped with individual screens that bring you 45 movies in 8 languages, documentaries, and games, as and when you require. Individual telephones with satellite technology and chat systems keep you connected to loved ones and colleagues, even when you are far away. Meals on board are gastronomic delights, distinguished by the class it is served in. The meal service has won the award for “Best Airline Cuisine” in 2010, 2011 and in 2012. In the Magnifica Business class, you can enjoy flavorful but simple cuisine, made with recipes from the finest Italian culinary traditions. Compliment the food with the best wine, which Alitalia’s official sommelier will be happy to discuss with you. In Optima, meals change each season, thus bringing you great Italian seasonal food which may be tasty warm snacks or pasta lunches or dinners, complimented by regional wines. There is a comprehensive library of reading material, made up of Italian and international newspapers, magazines and journals, along with in-depth articles in the in-flight magazine, Ulisse.

  • Alitalia, together with its sister airline – Air One – flies to almost 100 destinations serving 27 domestic and 59 international destinations to explore across 40 countries. The fleet operates more than 2000 Alitalia aircraft a week at the airports of Milan, Turin, Venice, Naples and Catania. It also has code share agreements with over 25 airlines, including Cyprus Airways, Bulgaria Air, Middle East Airlines, SriLankan Airlines, and Air France.
