Changi Airport suffer steeper declines

Being a bustling airport, Changi Airport serves 100 airlines enabling to connect to over 200 destinations all around the world. The airport is also recognised as a transit center for freight routes across Asia, Australia and Europe. Find our cheap flights listings to obtain the best fares.

Being the second largest airport in Asia, Changi Airport records a US$37.34 million loss in cargo activities this quarter ending March. In comparison to previous year, the cargo volumes have dropped tremendously. The impact of weak European currency and the rise in fuel costs has decreased passenger travels.

However, in April 2012, Changi Airport highlights passenger growth of 12.9 mainly from Middle East and Asia. Changi Airport is the international getaway airport in Singapore. It also serves as the base station for Singapore’s national carrier – Singapore Airline, Singapore Airlines Cargo, Silk Air, Tiger Airways, Jetstar Asia Airways, Valuair and Jett8 Airlines.
