Tickets go on sale for Ain Dubai, the world’s biggest observation wheel

Tickets for Ain Dubai, the world’s largest & tallest observation wheel are now on sale! Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions about the attraction, ahead of its much-awaited opening.

When will Ain Dubai open?

Ain Dubai is the latest landmark to join Dubai’s long list of record-breaking attractions. Set to open on 21 October.

How tall is the Ain Dubai?

The giant observation wheel stands tall at a staggering height of 250m. It can also take 1,750 passengers at a time & has 48 double-glazed cabins. Hence making it the highest & largest of its kind in the world. Not a bad feat, eh?

The monument was featured on the TV documentary Impossible Engineering last year. It provided a much-appreciated glimpse into how the colossal wheel was constructed for starry-eyed travellers. Now, visitors will finally get to experience it from 21 October.

How much does the Ain Dubai cost?

With the sale, the ticket prices start from £26 (AED 130) and can be purchased right now.

What does Ain Dubai offer?

It features over three types of cabins – Observation Cabins, Social Cabins and Private Cabins.

The Observation Cabins will offer ‘never-before-seen instagrammable 360-degree views’ of the dynamic city.

In addition, the Social Cabins also feature beverage-inclusive packages, and passengers can upgrade to a premium cabin for ‘VIP treatment.

Passengers can also book a ticket for the Sky Bar Cabins, which serve drinks as the wheel rotates.

Last but definitely not least, the Private Cabins are geared towards events offering celebration packages for those who host birthdays, weddings, cultural festivities, business functions and other events of this nature.

Each rotation on the wheel takes approximately 38 minutes, though passengers can book two rotations of roughly 76 minutes.

Is Ain Dubai the world’s largest observation wheel?

Currently, the High Roller in Las Vegas wears the crown for the world’s largest Ferris wheel. The highlight stands at a height of 167.6m (550ft). However, it will be dethroned by Ain Dubai when it’s unveiled next month.

Ahead of the much-anticipated launch of the attraction, Ronald Drake, the General Manager of Ain Dubai, had this to say about the observation wheel:

Ain Dubai offers first-of-its-kind experiences catering to all audiences, including luxurious special event cabins, nightlife and party experiences; unique dining and culinary options; family-friendly cabins, and customisable romantic experiences for special moments.

‘We are the ultimate celebration destination, so it was only fitting that we celebrate the opening in style. Stay tuned for more exciting details of what to expect from our grand opening, and we can’t wait to welcome you to Ain Dubai.’

A representative of the attraction added in a statement: Ain Dubai is the latest addition to the extensive Dubai Holding entertainment portfolio and plays a strategic role in supporting Dubai’s long-term vision as set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to strengthen its global position as a key tourism hub, continuing to build on the emirate’s reputation as a leader in the global leisure and entertainment landscape.’
