Airport’s operator, BAA, has allowed adopting changes to individual airports including Aberdeen, Glasgow, Heathrow and Southampton.
Thereby, as a part of re-development and expanding operations, the airport has changed the name to Aberdeen International. Launch of flights to London City and Bristol are two new additions to boost tourism and support business travel between North East, London and South West of England.
Other plans of the re-development program involve refurbishment of terminal building and expansion of airport’s runaway thus achieving an increase in passenger numbers by 40% by 2040.
